The Mountaineer Maniacs are the largest student organization on campus and the premiere student group for Mountaineer athletics. We are the official student section for WVU sports. The organization supports Mountaineer athletic teams and helps promote good sportsmanship as well as Mountaineer pride and tradition.
We are a part of the Student Government Association and are supervised by the Division of Student Affairs.
Membership in the Mountaineer Maniacs has many benefits:
-Receive an official Maniacs T-shirt.
-Get guaranteed seating at all home Mountaineer football games (Guaranteed Members only).
-Travel to away football and basketball games.
-Attend watch parties (for free if wearing this year’s shirt) and other Maniac events.
-Receive 20% off merchandise at the Book Exchange.
-Carry on the proud traditions of West Virginia University.
-Benefit from special marketing promotions all year long.

If there are additional student tickets available after the request and claim periods, you will have the opportunity to purchase one guest ticket during the on-demand period. Tickets are typically $45-50 each and must be paid for online via major credit card.
All memberships include the Mountaineer Maniacs T-Shirt, 20% discount at the Book Exchange, free attendance to watch parties (if wearing this year’s membership shirt), ability to go on away trips, and all giveaways.
Those with Guaranteed Membership have 100% chance of getting football tickets if they select the Maniacs option when requesting tickets.
Yes. Upperclassmen can sign up late in the spring semester for the following year. There will be an announcement posted on MIX, and current Maniacs will receive an e-mail. New freshmen can sign up at the information fair at New Student Orientation.
Our office is located in the Student Orgs wing of the Mountainlair. We are right in front of the Career Services Center.
Our office hours are 9:00 AM-3:00 PM Monday-Friday. Please note that we do not maintain regular office hours during University recess and the summer.
